The crossing of Lunigiana and the Vara Valley, from Pontremoli to the sea of Levanto
A journey through two regions, united in the history of the Ligurian people.
A crossing along an ancient, medieval path, which I rediscovered by studying the work done by historians on this route, which I then adapted to the needs of the touristic proposal.
From Apua to the sea, from Pontremoli climbing passes and crossing wild woods and ancient settlements, we will relive the trans-Apennine adventures of medieval merchants. From the Ligurian mountains to the bed of the great Vara river and back up to the ridge from which we will admire the sea.
The bay of Levanto will be our destination, our goal, where the goods left the boats to cross the mountains.
We will sleep and eat in the food and wine jewels of Lunigiana and the Biological valley, the Val di Vara.
Come with us, and like a true Apuan Ligurian you too can say that you have made the “Via de Pontremolo”! Absolute first edition and an ITrekITaly exclusive!
